NC Valley 10u Garcia had a good weekend at the yard again. Valley went 4-0 to win the Winter Showdown at Twin Creeks in Sunnyvale. Valley scores for the weekend were, 9-0, 12-1, 18-1, 2-1. In the championship, Valley encountered a dogfight as Cali Gold Elite came ready to play.

On Saturday the boys bats came out hot and the ball was flying around the yard.
Championship Sunday, the first game was the same results. Bats came out blazing and valley jumped out to an early 10 run lead and never looked back.
In the championship, Cali Gold came out ready. Cali gold jumped ahead 1-0 and had all the momentum. Valley was making contact but not much coming out of it. We manufactured runs and finally took a 2-1 lead and the pitching of Vince Della Santina and Elijah Crenshaw took over from there.
Our leading hitter for the weekend was Dimitri Williams. In Dimitri’s first weekend with Valley, he lead all hitters batting .800 for the weekend. Following was Crenshaw with .750 ave for the weekend. Evan Vela and Quinton Hill both hit .500 for the weekend. Valley hit 6 HRs this weekend and each kid learned the importance of having an at bat for your teammate. Kids are getting better and getting ready for our next tournament.
